Why should I send my child to your school?

  • We have a great curriculum with a purpose (“Training a child in the way which he should go” Proverbs 22:6). We do this by feeding the child’s spirit by integrating Biblical principles through your child’s studies (Bible, History, Science, Art, Literature, Reading, Poetry)
  • Small class sizes with teachers who are genuinely interested in the well-being of your child’s mental, spiritual, and physical growth.
  • We strive for a peaceful and caring atmosphere, which promotes learning. This is done by training positive habits of obedience, respect, thoughtfulness, kindness, honesty, and attention toward their relationships with others.
  • We help instill a love of learning by making the subjects interesting. This is done through creative activities (art, music, PE, etc.), hosting guest artisans (craftspersons, authors, etc.), and the students will keep a personal notebook on a given subject, which teaches your child ownership of the learning process by reading, reason, relating, and recording (the 4 Rs). Lastly, this is instilled through memorization and recitation of God’s Word, poems, and other character-building literature.

Where are your teaching methods drawn from?

We incorporate a Christian-Traditional philosophy of education. Christian-Traditional education is a proven method, which instills a Biblical and practical view of life, focusing on critical thinking, logic, and moral absolutes as determined by our Creator. We endeavor to relate Christian principles into all subjects in our school curriculum.

Why do the children use fountain pens?

We have chosen fountain pens for several beneficial reasons. The pen is a fine writing instrument that must be cared for, which teaches good stewardship. It reduces strain on the child’s hand when used because of its smoothness rather than the pressure required in the use of a ballpoint pen or pencil. A writer must sit correctly and hold the pen correctly in order to write correctly. Because the fountain pen ink cannot be erased, its use tends to produce greater care and attention and ultimately, excellence in effort and handwriting. The activity of writing becomes more fun and valued for the students because of the fountain pen.

I’m glad you asked! We have many ways individuals can bless the school through various forms of support.

If you are looking to volunteer your time and or expertise… We have a volunteer application form you can fill out at the school office with suggested areas such as, substitute teaching, field trip aid, leading or aiding in a class subject, etc. We’re happy to join together and think of ways you can offer your unique gifts to Table Rock Christian School.

If you’d like to bless the school with support in the form of a gift/donation we’d be happy to place it where it will give the school the most support. Whether it’s a monetary gift, cleaning supplies, craft and art supplies, or even a bookshelf you think would fit in our library perfectly. We greatly appreciate your thought of us.
